Congratulations to the Tatum Eagles basketball team!!

They will be playing Saturday afternoon at 2 for the Class 2A State Championship against Idalou.  

After defeating Crockett in overtime for the regional championship, Tatum defeated Melissa 70-57 in the state semifinal game.

After trailing by as many as 6 in the opening period, the Eagles outscored Melissa 18-6 in the second quarter to build an 11 point halftime lead and Tatum never looked back.

Tatum got 21 points from Desmond Fite, 20 from Kendall Bell, and 16 points from Brandon Woodard.  Take a look at the final box score here.

The Eagles (32-7) will now play for the state championship on Saturday afternoon at 2 against Idalou (31-1).
