Taylor Swift must be having one heck of a birthday. Not only is today her 23rd birthday, but she released her 23rd music video as well (planned, you think?). Anyway, the video for "I Knew You Were Trouble" was released today on MTV, and let's just say it is not something you would expect from Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift has a way of always making her videos dainty and sweet, often telling a story with them. While this one definitely tells a story, it isn't dainty orsweet in the least. She took the rock edge to "I Knew You Were Trouble" to heart when making the video. It is very rough and tough, very out of the norm for Swift.

The video starts out with a dirty and somewhat disoriented Swift lying on the ground. She narrates the the beginning as if it were the start of a movie. Showing flashbacks of what got her to that point. Then we see the scenario played out. Getting in with the wrong person who gets her into trouble, but she just cant seem to shake him. She wakes up on the ground, alone.

She ends the video with a chilling revelation: "I don't know if you know who you are, until you lose what you were."
