NBA players and owners reached a tentative agreement this morning that will allow for a 66 game NBA season.  After a 15 hour meeting yesterday that ended with a handshake, an agreement was struck that puts the start of the NBA season on Christmas day.

Few details of the agreement were given and there are still numerous legal hurdles before the season can officially open.  Training camps are set to open on December 9th.

Commissioner David Stern said:

We want to play basketball

The two sides will return to work with their attorneys later today to keep the process moving.
