So often in radio stations across America, we get caught up in the competition, the desire and need to be the best station we can be. What most people don't know is country music is a very small family, both in the world of artists and in radio personalities. We all know each other and look out for each other to an extent. While we are competitive, we are friends as well. Part of a small fraternity of people who are lucky enough to call country music home.

Today we are missing a huge part of our family, as fellow Texas radio personality Terry Dorsey, who retired in December from KSCS radio, passed away Saturday night. He was 66.

Terry spent 26 years waking up Dallas and Fort Worth, and then retired in December of 2014. Upon his retirement he moved his family to Illinois, where he passed away over the weekend from natural causes.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Terry's family, as well as his radio family in DFW. I can tell you one thing is for sure, Terry is in Heaven today. The good Lord himself was listening to Terry on the radio while he drove into work.

Rest in peace, Terry Dorsey. You will be missed!
