When The Texas Rangers acquired third baseman Adrian Beltre from The Red Sox in the off season it left many Ranger fans and Michael Young wondering what his role with the team would be.

It even led to Young asking to be traded at one point.  But it looks like the very popular All Star will be playing his ball games this year in Arlington.  And he will apparently be doing it with a great attitude as well. Concerning the trade speculation Young had this to say to MLB.com

If it happens, it happens," Young said with a shrug on Wednesday morning. "Nothing supersedes my work as a player. I'm trying to make sure all my focus is on improving as a player and having a big year. If I get traded, I get traded. I'm not worried about that.

Young who was moved from shortstop to third base for the young Elvis Andrus back in '09 understandably took exception to that move as well but had since adjusted nicely to his new (now old) position at third. I'm pretty sure we could appreciate the All Star being upset about yet another move to DH. But as of now Rangers Fans it appears Young will not be leaving any time soon, we'll keep our claws and antlers crossed.
