Not many bands can put on a show like The Dirty River Boys, and the guys from El Paso will be bringing the party to the 2016 Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival.

The Dirty River Boys join Bri Bagwell as part of a five-band lineup for this year's festival, which is Saturday, May 14, on the square in Downtown Tyler.

Hailed as "Texas Country's Best Live Band," by the Dallas Observer, The Dirty River Boys bring an electric show to every performance. The foursome released their self-titled album in late 2014 to wide critical acclaim.

The Dirty River Boys released two EPs before unveiling their first full-length album, Science of Flight, in 2012. That album features their raucous hit, "Raise Some Hell," which launched them face-first into the Texas scene.

Their self-titled album boasts a lot of influence from several genres of music and was co-produced by Texas legend Ray Wylie Hubbard.

“We wanted to cross genres as much as possible,” singer and guitarist Marco Gutierrez told The Wall Street Journal. “We try not to box ourselves in. We kind of let whatever happens happen with the instrumentation that we have.”

Three more artists for this year's Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival, presented by Tyler Ford, will be unveiled each day this week with the headliner being released on Friday. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at RedDirtBBQFest.com.
