On Saturday, Aug. 27, the newly renovated Liberty Hall will host the The East Texas All-Star Showcase. This showcase will feature performances by eight local bands as well as as local comedy group.  If you are a big supporter of local East Texas talent, this is something you DO NOT want to miss. More after the jump.

The lineup includes locals such as Something Blue with Dustin Becker, Stefan Cotter, Eric George and Man No Sober, blacktopGYPSY, Ramoth Gilead and Jasmine Nyvall, with a headlining performance by Uncle Lucius from Austin.  Due to the overwhelming amount of awesome performers, there will be two stages- one on the inside and one on the outside. The bands will alternate between the two stages and each set will run about 30-45 minutes, which actually turns out to be good for the artists because it forces them to use their best material, and not fill their time with a bunch of fluff.

"Somebody made a post one day complaining about how all these artists play at any given location on a weekend ... we need to have something where everyone can come together on one bill, at one show, one location and just have a knock-down, drag-out party," said Trent Spradlin, who organized the event.

The performance schedule will be: Jasmine Nyvall, 5:30 p.m. outside; Card 53 comedy, 6 p.m. inside; Stefan Cotter, 6:30 p.m. outside; Ramoth Gilead, 7 p.m. inside; Something Blue/Dustin Becker Band, 7:30 p.m. outside; blacktopGYPSY, 8:45 p.m. inside; Eric George and No Man Sober, 9:30 p.m. outside; Card 53 Comedy, 10 p.m. inside; Uncle Lucius, 10:30 p.m. outside.

General admission tickets are $20 per person, with VIP reserved seating tickets at $35 per person. Tickets are available for purchase at www.outhousetickets.com.
