I absolutely loved the tribute to Glen Campbell on the Grammy's  last night. It was a shock to all his fans last year when he announced he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease.  That's when the 75 year old decided to have a farewell tour. Last night at the  54th Grammy's  Glen Campbell was presented with a a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Working in the music business for 50 years Glen has released more than 70 albums, sold over 45 million records, 12 Gold albums, 4 Platinum albums, and 1 Double Platinum! Campbell isn't a stranger to the Grammy's either winning four Grammy's in both country and pop categories in 1967. And the list goes on and on. Glen Campbell is not only a singer song-writer, but an accomplished guitarist too.

The tribute to Glen Campbell including  Blake Shelton singin "Southern Nights" and The Band Perry singing "Gentle on my mind." Then the man himself  came on stage and sang his famous, "Rhinestone Cowboy." It was mentioned that he could lip-sync if he wanted too -  he didn't. The performance brought back memories for me. I used to sing "Galveston" and "Wichita Lineman" at the top of my lungs and it would so irritate my br0thers and sister.

Catch Glen Campbell's music every Saturday morning from 8-10am on the KNUE Gold Rush with John Moore!
