Thieves Rob Man of Cash at Tyler Hotel

Tyler police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who robbed a man in the parking lot of a South Tyler Hotel.

The victim was checking into the Best Western located at 120 West Rieck Road when he was approached by two men in the parking lot while removing his luggage from his trunk. One of the suspects reached in the victims pocket and stole a roll of cash.

The suspects fled the area when the victim displayed a handgun in an attempt to stop the theft.

The suspects were driving a blue vehicle.

Police believe the victim was observed with the roll of cash by the suspects while checking in. The victim said the suspects stated to the clerk that they wanted an application for employment before following him out in the parking lot.
