When it comes to dining out in Tyler, the options keep on expanding! Traveling along south Broadway in Tyler you'll notice signs that three new restaurants in the works with one close to opening soon for business!


Mikoto Ramen Bar and Sushi

6611 S. Broadway (between Salsarita's and Palio's Pizza Cafe)

With locations in Houston and Corpus Christi, Mikoto will expand into East Texas aiming to introduce the art of Japanese cuisine specializing in ramen with their location in Tyler. Specializing in ramen, this Japanese dish serves with noodles in a pork or chicken based white broth (‘paitan’) and a variety of additional toppings, according to their website. Mikoto offers more than ramen though, on the menu is teishoku, a Japanese set meal, along with a variety of sushi rolls and sashimi.

Mikoto has a target opening date of December 15th on their Facebook page. Mikoto could become the new Tyler hot spot!


Go Go Sushi and Asian Stir Fry

7922 S. Broadway (former site of The Boiling Catch)

Following a remodel, Go Go Sushi and Asian Stir Fry should be open mid-December, according to their Facebook posting. The menu at Go Go Sushi and Asian Stir Fry will include sushi rolls, fried rice and noodle dinners along with other specialty house dishes and items.


Shell Shack

7918 S. Broadway (next to Buffalo Wild Wings)

With locations in the Dallas area, this seafood shack is expanding with their first location in Tyler on S. Broadway right next door to Buffalo Wild Wings. If you love crab as much as the Shell Shack, you're going to have a new hang out spot! Looking over their menu online, there's crab, crab and more crab! That's not all they serve though, there will be oysters, catfish, shrimp, calamari, salads and burger available for those non-seafoodies! The Tyler Paper says this is the company's first franchise with an opening date sometime in January 2018 along with the potential of additional Shell Shack's opening in Longview and Texarkana in the future.
