That is right folks, today is National IPA Day. This is a day that should be widely celebrated by the best of beer lovers. Not much of an IPA fan? What is wrong with you? Take this day to become acquainted with one of the best gifts to the world, IPA.

This day is something I look forward to every year. I am a HUGE IPA fan. Sure a porter can be nice, but IPA would knock it out in 10 seconds into a boxing match. Hefeweizens bow down to IPA as their king. IPA holds a place as one of the world's wonders. Why? BECAUSE IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE REAL!

To celebrate this glorious day, what should you do? Well, drink. Duh! Oh, you want specifics?

Here is a short list of the top 5 IPAs you should down today in celebration.

1. Happy Camper IPA

They are not lying with a name like 'Happy Camper' --  this stuff has been known to rock socks off. This hoppy and golden juice of the gods will definitely turn your frown upside down. In fact, it is my favorite IPA. It has been well crafted from New Mexico's oldest brewing company and they sure know what they are doing.

You can find this golden goddess at Tyler's very own Fresh by Brookshire's. Find these guys on Facebook, they will be announcing the release of a Black IPA soon!

2. Goose Island IPA

Goose Island's IPA is delicious. Just like their excellence in creating their famous 312, they worked hard and achieved near perfection on their version of an India Pale Ale. Don't believe me? Here is what they said about this delicious stuff. "Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result is a hop lover’s dream with a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, and long hop finish."

Find this beer at Fresh. Make sure to like these guys on Facebook for updates on their full beer line.

3. Lost Gold IPA

Lost Gold IPA is brought to you by Texas' own Real Ale Brew Company. The same folks that brought you greats like Fireman's 4 and Devil's Backbone also gave you another tasty gift. This IPA is unbelievably good. More smooth than the first two IPAs I have listed. This one will turn a non-believer.

You can find this treat flowing through the taps at the one and only Stanley's Famous Pit BBQ. Don't know the Real Ale Brew Company well? Like them on Facebook for more info.

4. Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA

This is one of the best brews that has been tasted by man. The Dogfish Head Brew Company challenges the world to brew better. They have two year-round IPAs, but the 60 Minute brew is my favorite. I suggest it to any IPA fan that feels they need to try something new.

This beer is a little hard to find. I believe this is because it is so good, it sells out the minute it hits the shelf. But, try your hardest to find it at every shop that sells beer. It will be worth it. Like these guys on Facebook to keep up with one of the country's best brew houses.

5. Piranha Pale Ale

One of BJ's Brewhouse home brews, Piranha Pale Ale is a surprise favorite. I did not want to like any of BJ's brews. I don't know why. Maybe it is because they are like the Applebee's of brew houses. But, they win. I really, really like this IPA. It was a grand surprise. I would suggest this brew to anyone looking for a more classic IPA taste.

All right folks, hit the taps and bottles. Let's celebrate this great day. I wish you all a safe and fun time.

Oh, and......HOPPY NATIONAL IPA DAY!
