Toyota has announced that it will be relocating its headquarters to Texas from California within the next few years.

Toyota will be located in suburban Dallas once the sales, service, marketing, manufacturing and quality operations departments are moved. This transition is expected to take several years.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry was able to sway company executives with the offer of lower taxes than in California and less restricting regulations. Additionally, this will move the headquarters closer to the production locations (most of which are in Texas, Mississippi and Kentucky).
