Downtown Tyler will once again play host a maker faire at The Discovery Science Place on Saturday, April 28.

If you are creative and inventive, this is the place you want to be. Described as 'part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new,' the mini maker faire in Downtown Tyler will showcase creative individuals and their work.

The event originated and thrives in Northern California, but has expanded to produce mini maker faires all over the world, including Tyler.

Considered a gathering place to show and tell about their work, tech enthusiasts, crafters, homesteaders, scientists and all types of inventors come to share their work and learning.

The Discovery Science Place will host the event for the sixth time. The previous events over the past five years have seen over 1,000 attendees per year. They expect to see an even larger crowd in 2018.

The event will begin at 9 am and conclude at 5 pm. Learn more at Tyler.MakerFaire.com.
