Liberty Hall in downtown Tyler will be hosting the "East Texas Funniest Comic" this Saturday, April 26. Twelve comedians will have six minutes each to show their funniest stuff and win over the audience's votes! The winner will receive the "East Texas Funniest Comic" title and will win a spot to perform at the "East Texas Comedy Festival" on June 13.

The top 3 finalists will pick up the "Rubber Chicken Award," win $200 and also perform at the festival.

Here's what producer Brandon Davidson had to say about this fun event:

“The talent is unbelievable this year. We have a 47-year-old who still lives at home, a comic who plays the washboard, and a 9 year-old girl, who recently performed at ‘Gilda Radner’s Laff Fest’ in Grand Rapids. These are just a few of the many talented performers in this year’s showcase.”

Last year’s “Crowd Favorite,” CJ Starr, will host and perform as the votes are being tabulated. Competing this year in the festival are: Jason Lappe, Paul Feerow, Ross Day, Terry Birdner, Chris Darden, Thomas Nichols, Scott Crisp, Sheridi Lester, Brad LaCour, Deborah Privett, Bobby Friske and 9-year-old Saffy Herndon.

Tickets are on sale now at LibertyTyler.com for $15 online and $20 at the door, one hour before the show starts. VIP box seats are $100 and hold four people.
