kltv.com reports that Union Hill ISD has become the first K-12 school to adopt a four day school week in the state, which will begin next school year. The school day will be about 30 minutes longer, too.

But, there always is, school will not be closed on Friday.

Kids will only be required to attend 159 days next year with 13 optional days for other courses.

Other extracircular activities include gymnastics, karate, wood working or small engine repair.

Faculty will still work on Fridays allowing students to receive some extra help with classwork.
