U.S. Olympic Swim Team Lip-Syncs to No. 1 Song in the World [VIDEO]

Considering everyone, from Justin Beiber and James Franco to Katy Perry have made their own lip-sync versions of Carly Rae Jepsen's worldwide smash "Call Me Maybe" -- it may not be the most original thing that the U.S. Olympic swimming team could have done. But it may be the smartest.

I'm certain they only did it for fun, to fill all their down time. But seeing how much they enjoyed themselves, and the sheer amount of planning and choreography that went into it, the latest version uploaded to YouTube just yesterday seems to be endearing our swim team to fans worldwide. And what a great way for many people to get their first glimpse of our Olympic swimming team.

It's been viewed well over 300,000 times in its first 21 hours. Let's just hope that translates into some gold medals.
