Back in 2007, Whiskey Myers came from all parts of East Texas to converge in Tyler. Today they still call Tyler home but are now one of the hottest young Texas, Southern Rock Bands you'll find anywhere. Their 2011 album, "Firewater," is simply amazing.

Last year the guys were invited on the Rock Legends Cruise where they performed with just that -- rock legends -- bands such as ZZ Top, Marshall Tucker Band, Steppenwolf and many more.

Then just a few weeks ago they took home a Lone Star Music Award for Emerging Artist of the Year. But were also nominated for Live Act of the Year, Song of the Year (Ballad of a Southern Man), Album Artwork of the Year and lead guitarist Cody Tate was up for Musician of the Year.

Well, we've got more good news from the guys. This Thursday (April 19) our boys are opening up for the legendary rock-icon-turned-political-activist-but-still-rocker, Ted Nugent! The concert will be at Heritage Hall in Ardmore, Okla.

So, if you're in the Ardmore area or feel like taking an impromptu road trip, take your butt northwest to The Sooner State and check it out.

To hold you over, here's the video for "Ballad of a Southern Man," which was nominated for a Texas Regional Radio Music Award in the category, Video of the Year.
