It was East Texas' longest-running live music series.

It introduced so many bands to so many East Texans, including Casey Donahew, Whiskey Myers, Josh Abbott Band, JB and the Moonshine Band, Cody Johnson and many more who played for the first time (and eventually on a regular basis) in East Texas for Wild Texas Wednesday at Electric Cowboy.

Back in 2008 when Wild Texas Wednesdays was created, East Texas was hungry for live music -- live Texas Country Music -- and all these bands, some relatively unknown then and some brand new, were looking to grow their fan base.

Today, these bands are monsters! They are established, you know all their music, and you love it. And that was the whole point. But we still want to nurture and introduce East Texans to new, young, relatively unknown and some brand new bands.

This is why we brought Wild Texas Wednesdays back at the newer, bigger, better Cowboy's in Tyler.

We've got a whole new crop of young bands who are just as talented, just as hungry who y'all need to know about. And, of course, we'll be mixing in names and bands you already know and love.

And, yes. We'll still have big concerts some Friday nights, and even some Wednesdays -- but know this: every single Wednesday night in East Texas you can come to Cowboy's for that true, live Texas country music -- some new-to-you music and, of course, cheap drinks.

How cheap? How about .50 cent drafts, and $1.50 well, wine and long necks -- every Wednesday night.

So, tell everyone you know that Wild Texas Wednesdays are back at Cowboy's and we want to see all y'all out there for it.
