2011 has been a big year for Blake Shelton music wise, but in other ways too.  On April 3, he co-hosted the Academy of Country Music awards show with Reba McEntire. Later that month, he became a judge and vocal coach for the NBC-TV talent series, The Voice, a show that gave him enormous exposure, and on May 14, he married longtime fiancée and fellow country artist Miranda Lambert

We all know that Blake is a country superstar, but I wanted to find out something I didn't know about Blake Shelton! I knew that Blake liked to cook, so I set out to find his favorite dish! It's fried pickles! Yea, fried pickles! I might have to try frying some pickles up this weekend and inviting the Sheltons! I found this r4cipe on Food Network.com.

Beat 1 egg, 3/4 cup milk and a pinch of cayenne. Place 1/4 cup cornstarch in a shallow dish. In another dish, mix 1/2 cup each cornstarch and cornmeal with 2 tablespoons chopped dill, 2 teaspoons paprika, and salt and pepper. Dip about 3 dozen cold pickle slices in the plain cornstarch, then the egg wash, then the cornmeal mixture. Fry in 2 inches of 375 degrees F canola oil until golden, about 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels and serve with ranch dressing.

Enough about pickles -- KNUE is giving you a chance to win a trip for two to see and meet Blake on his U.S tour!
