World’s Oldest Dog Passes Away

You hear about animals that live very long lives. I had a Persian cat that died 2 1/2 months before her 22nd birthday! Well the oldest dog alive, Pusuke, has passed away.
Pusuke, who was listed as the oldest living dog in Guinness World Records, died on Dec. 5, 2011 in Sakura, Japan. He reached the ripe old age of 26 years and 9 months.
Pusuke was certified for the Guinness title last December. The previous record was held by a 28-year-old beagle from the U.S. who died in 2003.
I think animals respond to love and laughter. That’s why they can live a long life. Animals make my life more complete. I have three cats, a bird and one hermit crab! If you are interested in adopting a wonderful companion, please contact my great friends at the Humane Society of East Texas!
