Lindsay Diaz and Alan Cutter are owners of a duplex that was damaged during the tornado that moved through the area the day after Christmas.

They were waiting on insurance and FEMA help to repair the property.

Instead, Billy L. Nabors Demolition of Seagoville tore down the duplex by mistake.

The duplex is located at 7601 and 7603 Calypso Drive in Rowlett. The company was supposed to demo a residence at 7601 Cousteau Drive, a block away.

Diaz told WFAA, "I pull up and, sure enough, it’s gone. There’s nothing left. How do you make a mistake like this? I mean, this is just the worst."

WFAA contacted Billy L. Nabors Demolition but they had no comment as the incident was under investigation.

Diaz did fill out a report with Rowlett police. She has still not heard from the company about the incident.
