When Wynonna Judd married Cactus Moser this month, her famous mother and sister weren’t in attendance. The singer now explains that was intentional. In an interview with Us Weekly, Judd admits her relationship with Naomi and Ashley Judd is strained, and that their presence would have made her nervous.

“If I know Ashley, she would have re-positioned my dress, or Mom would have given me a Kleenex to stuff in my bra, or told me I have something in my teeth,” Judd says. “I just didn’t want that. I just wanted to get married!”

Naomi and Ashley have separate homes on the farm where Judd married 55-year-old Moser on June 10. Wynonna adds that she doesn’t know if the two even knew her wedding took place. There seems to be some family fallout from Ashley Judd’s 2011 memoir ‘All That Is Bitter and Sweet,’ which revealed a traumatic childhood.

“We’re getting ready to sit down with our life coach and re-evaluate what we want out of this relationship,” Wynonna tells Us Weekly. “We just don’t have a lot of contact right now, if any, because we’re all doing our own thing.”

Of her wedding day, she adds, “I didn’t want it to be about anyone but Cactus and me.”

Wynonna’s two children from her first husband were there for the event at the Leiper’s Fork, Tenn farm, as were Moser’s three children. Judd and Moser had been dating since 2009. They announced their engagement in December 2011.
