A song for the folks that stole our van and trailer...

You know when you get hit with the perfect burn -- like "your breath stinks." What do you even say to that? Especially when you know for a fact it's oh-so-minty-fresh. It's almost like your brain forgets how to form words in your mouth. You get owned. Feel dumb. Only later do you think of the perfect response -- but too late. The moment's gone forever.

Zane Williams doesn't know this feeling.

On Saturday (May 16) Zane's van and trailer were stolen. He was able to recover the trailer almost immediately. But apparently not before the thief or thieves got their hands on a few items: a fiddle, an amp and a guitar.

Today Zane posted a song that berates, tears down, and oughta make whoever did this completely and utterly ashamed. And their mamas ashamed, too, for ever given birth to 'em. And Zane does it while maintaining poise, tact, discretion, and even control. All in a moment, I personally, would have devolved into a cussing, raving schizoid, a cracked-out lunatic.

I suggest the thief or thieves take Zane up on his offer to just bring back what they stole to his band's next concert.

Good on you, Zane. Very Chris LeDoux "Cowboy's Hat" of you. You are a true and shining example of self-control.

Texas music community: please keep an eye out for these items, which were stolen from us Saturday off I-45 in...
