A documentary that chronicles Alan Jackson's rise from small town Georgia boy to Country Music Hall of Famer will be available for fans everywhere on May 3. Later this summer fans, can get Alan Jackson: Small Town Southern Man on DVD.

The documentary first aired on AXS last fall. Alan Jackson: Small Town Southern Man includes archival interviews with the singer, as well as interviews with his wife, Denise, his parents and sisters, and modern contemporaries like Carrie Underwood and Lee Ann Womack. Concert footage from his 25th anniversary tour is included, and throughout the film fans will hear how songs like "Chattahoochee," "Chasin' That Neon Rainbow" and "Someday" came to be.

On May 3, the documentary becomes available on iTunes, Amazon Prime and Amazon Video Direct. Then, on June 28, it's available on DVD. Many of Jackson's frequent collaborators also appear throughout the film.

Alan Jackson: Small Town Southern Man is named after the singer's chart-topping hit of the same name, released in 2007. It's being released via Eagle Rock Entertainment.

Jackson is staying busy in 2019, with a spring and summer tour that features William Michael Morgan and Randy Houser as opening acts. Earlier this month he appeared and sang during Loretta Lynn's birthday celebration in Nashville. His last studio album was Angels and Alcohol, released in 2015.
