I am so glad I come from an era where all the silly things I've done was never recorded.

A Louisiana man is in custody after performing a copycat video of him in a grocery store opening a container of Blue Bell ice cream and licking the top and running his finger across the top before placing it back.

According to WAFB, Lenise Martin III was arrested after store management became aware of the video.  However, to his defense, he provided a receipt of purchase indicating he bought the ice cream.

Authorities went ahead and charged Martin with the unlawful posting of criminal activity for notoriety and publicity, along with tampering with property.

Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office released a statement encouraging potential copycat offenders to think twice.

We discourage anyone from copying this atrocious act.  It is illegal. It’s a health risk to others. We will pursue anyone we see do this. You will be charged.

On July 28th a Texas woman was caught on video licking Blue Bell ice cream at a Lufkin Walmart and now is wanted by police.

Just a friendly reminder that food tampering in Texas is considered a felony and you could face serious jail time if caught and convicted!

So if you're looking for your next five minutes of fame I strongly suggest not pulling a stunt that will get you in jail.
