A frightening new and potentially fatal drug has been found in Louisiana. The drug is called 'grey death' on the street and was discovered in a St. Mary Parish traffic stop.

The drug is reportedly a mixture of heroin, fentanyl, and various fentanyl analogues. Those substances on their own are deadly, but according to KATC, officials say the substance when mixed is 10,000 times more potent than morphine. In fact, the St. Mary Sheriff's Office says that even touching the opioid is dangerous.

The drug first started appearing in Georgia and Alabama and has the appearance of small chunks of concrete. KNOE reports that the first reports about the drug began in 2017.

And like the St. Mary Sheriff's Office says, the name of the drug says it all. If you encounter this drug, please contact law enforcement immediately.
