Man’s Monster Truck Rampage Wreaks Havoc at Texas Event

At what was supposed to be a good ol' time at the "Rednecks with Paychecks" event in Texas, things took a dark turn when 36-year-old Jonathan Earl Reid transformed a family-friendly gathering into a full-blown demolition derby.

It all started innocently enough—monster trucks, mud, and the usual Texas chaos—but nobody expected the madness that would follow.

Apparently, Reid did not handle criticism well and snapped after attendees started hurling rocks at his beloved truck. Instead of calming down or driving away like a sane person, he floored it. He didn’t just take out his anger on a couple of bales of hay or some dirt piles—oh no—he went for the crowd, the cars, and anything unlucky enough to be in his path.

In his rampage, Reid absolutely flattened a Jeep and a UTV like they were Matchbox cars, and if that wasn’t enough, he mowed down five people. Two of the victims were hurt so badly that they had to be hospitalized.

Facing five felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Reid was later arrested but not for long. He managed to post a whopping $200,000 in bonds and is now out, hopefully without access to any more monster trucks.

What is the moral of the story? If you go to a Texas truck show, maybe leave the rocks and your temper at home.
