It's been a while since I was at the mall and that's where I found myself yesterday afternoon, walking through Broadway Square Mall and there it was, the Salvation
Army Angel Tree! It's right there between Chick-Fil-A and JC Penney and seeing it reminded me that Christmas will be here before you know it.

For a lot of people though, kids included, they'll receive nothing this Christmas if it weren't for the extraordinary generosity of East Texans.

Each angel tag laid out on the table represents a child or senior citizen in need of a little cheer this Christmas. Although they'll never know who gave them the gifts, they know there is someone out there that cares about them.

This Christmas thousands of kids will have smiles on their faces and a lot of laughter too because they'll be getting toys and games and bikes and clothes this year and for the senior citizens, they too will have smiles on their faces as they receive clothing and much needed personal items.

When the program kicked off, there were more than 3,000 angels in need this year. Some wishes are as simple as a new pair of shoes, maybe some socks or a new robe and of course there are the kids that dream big too!

So hopefully you've been blessed with some good times this year and can stop by the Salvation Army Angel Tree at Broadway Square Mall and pick up an angel and fulfill their wishes this year.
