East Texas non-profits have been assisting East Texans in need and now it's time for us to step up and assist them so that they can continue with their mission.

This is the reality in which we're living. The best thing you and I can do is to look out for each other and ourselves. Please share with as many as you can.

People Attempting To Help - PATH, will be holding its first-ever "Baby Games" this Saturday, May 12 to help raise diapers for those in need.

Collin Boyd, who is eight years old and attends Owen Elementary in Bullard loves baseball. But recently Collin has had to deal with more than any 8-year-old should have to. Collin is suffering from undifferentiated soft tissue sarcoma. I can barely spell it, much less say it.

East Texas is getting ready for the East Texas Optimism Walk 2012 for Parkinson's on April 28 in Tyler at Rose Rudman Recreational Trail.  The walk raises money for education, research and support services for those affected with Parkinson's disease.

I just had to share this great 'feel good' story with you today! Mr. Melvin Williams and the members of the Masonic Young Hill Lodge #467, donated  funds to CASA Kids of East Texas organization to ensure that many of the foster children in relative placements in the program area will receive the necessary school supplies for the upcoming school year. Awesome!
