It's time for the 55th Annual "Fill The Boot" campaign with MDA. The Tyler Fire Department and the Muscular Dystrophy Association will once again partner in the fight against neuromuscular diseases during the annual "Fill The Boot."
Who could forget the news of toys stolen from a warehouse used by the Gregg County Child Welfare board, that were intended to go to local foster children. So sad! But East Texans are not taking this lying down. The Longview Fire department is hosting a toy drive this weekend at Longview Mall Parking Lot from 9AM to 5PM to replace those stolen toys!

The ESD board recently voted to collect less money from tax payers, leaving some fire departments worried about their budgets next year. Many Fire Departments received good news -- but many did not.
