A rare species of beetle not native to America was discovered inside a shipment of palm leaves from Central America by border agents in Texas.

A surprising discovery has been found in Texas waters and has raised concerns among Texas wildlife experts, including Texas Parks and Wildlife. An East Texas professor from UT Tyler is offering expertise, as well.

At the end of August, this strange fish was caught by an angler at Lake Meredith in Sanford, Texas. Apparently, the fish was so strange and unusual to behold, that it was moved to the Lake Meredith Aquatic & Wildlife Museum so others could go and see it.
