What's the recipe for musical success? Making music people like, and since 2009 that is exactly what East Texas natives, JB and the Moonshine Band have been doing. They've had two successful album, Ain't Goin Back to Jail and Beer for Breakfast; the latter named to Rolling Stone Magazine's Top 5 Country Albums of 2012, and a buncha radio hits.

Seems like most everyone is bashing country music these days, and there's reason to. I heard  some legitimate reasons Why Country Music was Awful in 2013. And while calling people out for singing crappy songs serves a purpose, and may even serve to correct the ship -- you gotta admit, it's hard to argue how bad a song is, when people download it like crack.

Last Friday, Dec. 13th, JB and the guys stopped by our studio to perform on the Ashley Furniture HomeStore Front Porch. All-in-all they ended up hanging out and singing for a full hour -- much to the pleasure of the 50 plus in attendance.

JB and the Moonshine Band are back home in Tyler, playing at Cowboy’s night club this Friday night (Dec. 13), tickets here. And since it's their first time to play their hometown's newest and biggest music venue, we're doing something special -- that afternoon the guys will be stopping by for a lunch time acoustic show in our studios, on the Ashley Furniture HomeStore Front Porch.

Last month JB and the Moonshine Band stopped by Radio Texas, LIVE! for the world debut of their new single "Black and White" featuring Angaleena Presley of the Pistol Annies. Tomorrow JB, the guys, and Angaleena head to Fort Worth to play the World's Largest Honky Tonk -- Billy Bob's Texas.

A big congratulations to my good friends JB and Regina Patterson, who welcomed their second child, a beautiful baby girl named Buddy Logan Stella Reign Patterson into the world this week. Stella arrived at 12:44 am Wednesday, she is 7lbs 14 oz, 19 inches long.

Last week JB and the Moonshine Band stopped by Radio Texas, LIVE! for the world debut of their brand new single "Black and White" featuring Angaleena Presley of Pistol Annie fame. We did that, had some fun, plus the guys sang a brand new song "Light it Up."

For the second straight year JB and the Moonshine Band head home to play the East Texas State Fair in Tyler, TX. With their non-stop tour schedule the guys are always excited to be able to play at home.

Last week JB and the Moonshine Band enjoyed their third consecutive No.1 single off of "Beer for Breakfast. This week Granger Smith looks to overtake the guys and score his first ever. But Turnpike Troubadors and Josh Grider are both ying for that No. 1 spot as well. Who's at the top? Let’s find out.

This week he looks to keep "For You I Do" at the top, but to do it he'll have to hold off JB and the Moonshine Band and Granger Smith, both hot on his heals for that No. 1 spot. Who's at the top?
