Just a couple of hours ago, KNUE'S "Gold Rush" host, John Moore, was named the Smith Country Public Information Officer. This is a new position for the Smith Country Sherif'sf Department. John will be joining the department later this month.

We were all saddened  by the news of Glen Campbell's Alzheimer diagnosis last year. Glen Campbell is a legend in the country music industry, and as his career comes to an end with his Goodbye Tour later this year, Campbell has released his final video, "A Better Place."

I'll never forget when I met the sexy, raspy voiced country superstar Kenny Rogers. I was working at KNUE and Kenny was set to perform at The Oil Palace in Tyler. This was the country singer I had played on the radio for years, and I was finally gonna meet him. On top of that great news, the opening act was the group Restless Heart! To say the least, I was ecstatic!
