America's Got Talent semi-finalist Kadie Lynn Robertson had big shoes to fill when she decided to perform the Lee Ann Womack award winning hit "I Hope You Dance" on national television.

From anticipated performances to talent-filled awards categories, the lineup is stacked with familiar names, and like the good friends that they are, country acts were elated to share the spotlight.
Kelly Clarkson continues to amaze country music fans with her twangy covers of popular country songs. Every time she plays a show, Clarkson chooses one fan from her audience to choose a cover song. As it turn out, the pop crossover’s fans are pretty into country music. For her latest country offering, Clarkson put on a smashing rendition of Lee Ann Womack‘s ‘I Hope You Dance.’
East Texas is full of talented people, especially country singers. Think about it: Neal McCoy, Miranda Lambert, Linda Davis, Ray Price, Lee Ann Womack, J.B and The Moonshine Band, Whiskey Myers, Brandon Rhyder, Curtis Grimes, and Johnny Horton.
And that's just scratching the surface.
On September 12th, George Jones turned 80 years young. The Grand Ol Opry in Nashville hosted a huge birthday party for him.
The event featured performances by Joe Diffie, Jamey Johnson, and the Oak Ridge Boys.
One of my favorites from the night was when Alan Jackson and Lee Ann Womack got on stage together and sang the classic, 'Golden Ring'.

It’s been a few years since Lee Ann Womack had an album to promote, but she’s finally ready to get back in the studio and record some new music for her fans.
Womack, whose last release was 2008′s Grammy-nominated ‘There’s More Where That Came From,’ announced her return during her appearance at George Jones‘ recent 80th birthday party.
