Well this isn’t the best of news to hear… but East Texas is still in a drought.

Drought conditions are continuing to worsen here in East Texas. The latest outlook from the United States Drought Monitor shows much of East Texas in a severe drought, while everyone is at least abnormally dry.

For once, I'd like to have a cool to slightly colder Christmas, but that looks like it's not going to the case again this year.

The drought conditions continue for most of East Texas, but for some it’s gotten a little better over the last few weeks.

With the lack of rain in 2011, the result was extreme drought conditions and numerous wildfires across East Texas, including the Bear Creek Fire in September, the largest wildfire in East Texas History.

Barry continues to bring the threat for heavy rain, storm surge, flooding and gusty winds to some gulf states.

What’s with all the flood warnings? Why are they still here? In short, rivers are still in flood stage.

Everyone, stop doing the rain dance, we've had enough rain. Enough to tip the scales a few times. So much rain that the numbers are almost shocking.
