Taylor Swift was both an honoree and performer at Time's 100 Gala on Tuesday night (April 23).

Swift performed a five-song set on piano and guitar for the exclusive crowd including "Style," "Delicate," "Love Story," "New Year's Day" and "Shake It Off."

"I've always known it was the main pillar of kind of my sanity as well, like I always looked at writing as sort of like a protective armor. Which is weird, because you think of writing about your life, that's usually like a vulnerability, but I think that when you write about your life, it gives you the ability to process your life," Swift told the audience. "I use it as a way of justifying things that have happened to me. Whether they're good or bad. I like to honor the good times and really process the bad times when I write."

Swift went on to speak in between songs about the other fellow 99 honorees. She spoke about her love of Sandra Oh (as a Grey's Anatomy fan) and how great Khalid's latest album is.

Swift mingled with honorees and guests throughout the night. She was even seen dancing with her friends to Khalid's performance.

Swift is the only musician to grace one of the six special edition covers of Time magazine for their 100 Most Influential People of 2019 edition.
