The Jean Browne Theatre at Tyler Junior College Presents ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’

Don't miss this timeless classic from Harper Lee, "To Kill a Mockingbird" at the Jean Browne Theatre on the Tyler Junior College campus. The play runs from Nov. 20-24. The novel won many literary awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1961.

Set in Alabama during the Great Depression, "To Kill a Mockingbird" follows the journey of Jem and Scout Finch, whose father has been appointed to defend Tom Robinson, a black man framed for a crime he didn’t commit. As the trial progresses, Jem and Scout witness first hand the ugliness of racism.
