Trisha Yearwood was destined to be on stage.  Her first "gig" was singing in a talent contest at a local bar in Georgia at the age of 16.  That summer she talked her parents into taking her to Nashville to see the "magic" that was in the air in the historic buildings.  It was during this trip she knew that she belonged in Nashville.
