Alert Tyler Officers Capture Burglary Suspect

A burglar alarm alerted two Tyler Police motorcycle officers Wednesday night to a break-in at the Army Navy store located in the 1200 block of SSE Loop 323. Police discovered a  large hole cut out in the back of the building.

As officers were waiting for back up, a man exited a wooded area wearing black clothing. 20-year-old Richard Moore of Chapel Hill was in possession of a pair of gloves and a flashlight stolen from the business. Police also confiscated a small axe apparently used to cut through the wall.
