Police spokesman Don Martin says Calvert could possibly still be armed and will likely be driving a gray 2004 Buick LeSabre with license plate DP4G858. Lucas was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, blue sweatshirt.

KLTV in Tyler reports the shooting happened near Southern Oaks Baptist Church, Pollard Park and Andy Woods Middle School, at South Bain Place and Amherst. The TV station also reports the mother and her son were staying at a house owned by the church, which was helping her stay at the home while she was in school and preparing to move out of town. She also worked at the church nursery.
