This Saturday there is no argument what to do. Head out to the historic 1859 Goodman LeGrand Museum's Art in the Park. In its fourth year running, this event has become Tyler's great outdoor art exhibition with so much more.

While the weather is beautiful, go out and enjoy it in our gorgeous city. One of the best ways to experience the great spring time weather is at Art in the Park.

With 45 local to East Texas artists, this art exhibition is packed full of fantastic art to see. Ranging from all styles and kinds of paintings to ceramics, this event offers it all. Sculptures, photography, drawings, calligraphy, and fine crafted jewelry will all be exhibited. This will truly be a show that exhibits the best fine arts and artists East Texas has to offer.

There will also be some of East Texas best music. Starting with one of Tyler's favorite DJs, DJ Knight. You may have heard him at Julian's restaurant. Maegan Brooks will share the stage. Brooks is up for an ETX Music award, so this is a great chance to give her a listen before you cast your vote. When you walk into the Goodman home your ears will be flooded with the lovely sounds from the past with musicians playing classical instruments like the harp.

While inside this 153-year-old home, you will be overwhelmed with its beauty and history. Left in almost the exact state of the last owners, the 1859 Goodman LeGrand Museum is full of history. If you have missed out on seeing this historic home, take this chance to tour the Goodman this Saturday.

With all of this and so much more happening this Saturday at the Goodman museum, why miss it. And, did I mention it is a free event? Come on! You cannot beat all of this great East Texas talent and history with free admission.

So, come out this Saturday (April 13th) at the 1859 Goodman LeGrand Museum in downtown Tyler from ten in the morning until four in the afternoon.
