I’m a native Texan and proud of it. I was born and raised in the BBQ Capital of Texas, Lockhart, but I’ve been in East Texas for about 25 years, so this is where my family and I call home. I have a patient, beautiful wife (she’s a Big Sandy Wildcat) who has kept me in line since 1994, plus I have three great kids, even though they were the cause of my premature balding and greying. I went to college at UT-Austin and Texas A&M, mainly to become a meteorologist. But my love of country music took over, plus, in radio, you never have to grow up. As strange as this may sound, my perfect day would be to spend an entire day in a theater watching nothing but Disney movies. Bring on the popcorn!
