Houston Nutt Resigns As Ole Miss Coach After 12 Straight SEC Losses
After a 2-7 start to the season (0-6 in the SEC), Mississippi head coach Houston Nutt announced Monday that he will be resigning at the end of the season. Ole Miss Athletic Director Pete Boone also announced that he would be stepping down next year, but did not give a specific date.
Missouri Announced as SEC’s 14th Member
After weeks of negotiation and “will they or won’t they” speculation, the Southeastern Conference finally made it official on Sunday, announcing its acceptance of Missouri as the league’s 14th school. The Tigers are expected to make the move next summer at the same time as fellow Big 12 member Texas A&M, which is also leaving for the SEC.
