Blake Shelton Stirs Up Major Trouble With a Tweet [POLL]

Blake Shelton has stirred up a bit of controversy with animal advocates and a few of his Twitter followers. Of course, Blake is known for being outspoken and crazy, but this time he may have gone too far.

Here is what Taste of Country reported Blake tweeting:

Does anyone know if the Eastern Box turtle is protected in Oklahoma? If so I didn't just swerve to the shoulder of the road to smash one."

NPR blogger Barbara J. King, for one, was not impressed by the underlying message Shelton was sending.

“That turtle’s life meant something – was your tweet a bad jke? Why would you be so cruel to a living being?” King asked in response, acknowledging the lack of humor to some in Shelton’s comment."

What?! I wonder what his animal-loving wife, Miranda Lambert, had to say about the tweet?

Why would anybody take the time to even tweet that statement? Joking or not, I think he went way too far! Blake we love ya, but there are a lot of funny things to tweet about, and that's not one of them.
