Brantley Gilbert, how dare you?! "The Weekend" singer took Luke Combs out on tour earlier this year and during their downtime they played Madden NFL. Combs thought he'd been beaten fair and square ...

But Gilbert cheated! Yep, in an interview with Taste of Country Nights, Gilbert shared how he beat the "Hurricane" singer. First, it's Combs' thoughts from before he learned he'd been the victim of dirty play.

"He's a good guy," Combs assures. "He's a Madden guy. He wins every time. He's good. He's a good Madden guy. I'm a good Madden guy, but I can concede when I've been beaten."

"He's just got it, man," he adds naively. "He plays. I don't know what it is, I can't figure it out yet."

Little did the native North Carolinian know, Gilbert had a trick he used to gain a significant edge. Talking to Taste of Country Night's Sam Alex, he boasted about his hustle.

"He challenged me to a game of that," he says. "What he don't know is I cheat, bad ... I put my team on 'rookie,' like the difficulty setting on 'rookie,' and I make everybody else play on 'all Madden.'"

"If you ain't cheatin' you're cheatin' yourself!" Gilbert adds. Ugh! Seriously, Brantley ... we haven't been this upset about a cheating scandal since Ross and Rachel.

Combs mostly talked to Taste of Country about his upcoming This One's for You album (June 2), but also about his path to Nashville and the Devil Don't Sleep Tour. The pair have more dates planned this spring and summer, reuniting on June 2 in Tampa, Fla. That's gonna be awkward.
