Professional bullfighter Cody Hollums, 27, remains hospitalized at ETMC in Tyler after he was seriously injured during a bullriding event in Lufkin on Saturday.

Hollums, a veteran bullfighter, suffered a fractured skull when he was struck by a bull during the event at Lufkin’s George H. Henderson Jr. Exposition Center.

According to KTRE.com, the bull hit Hollums and spun around striking him in the chest knocking him to the ground. The bull hit him in the head.

He was airlifted to ETMC in Tyler and remains in a medically induced coma in ICU.

Cody is a Midland native and has been on the Championship Bull Riding circuit for the past five years.
