Charles Haley in East Texas

Saturday was the grand opening of Dick's Sporting Goods at the Longview Mall. A couple hundred folks lined up to meet 6 time Superbowl champion (49's, Cowboys) and NFL Hall of Famer Charles Haley.

I remember those great Cowboys teams of the 90's and got to watch all three Superbowl wins of the that time. Aikman, Irving, Smith on offense and leading the defense were the likes of Ken Norton, Darren Woodson and Charles Haley.

His first year in Dallas, he led the "Doomsday Defense" to a Superbowl XXVII win over the Buffalo Bills 52-17. Cowboys went on to win Superbowl XXVIII and XXX.

I was a nervous wreck but I got to take a couple of minutes and talk with Charles Haley. We talked about what becoming a member of the NFL Hall of Fame means for him and his time with Cowboys. Listen below.
