It was some incredible High School Football over the weekend. Being from East Texas, I know how much the sport means to us. Congratulations to all the East Texas teams that made it to the playoffs, and to those advancing to the next level.

One year after losing the TAPPS D-III title game to Austin Regents, the Guard got revenge on Saturday, beating Regents 26-3 for their first ever football state championship.

Gunner Dorsey scored on touchdown runs of 59 and 48 yards, as the Guard never trailed in the game.

Brook Hill finishes the year with an 11-3 record. Way to go Brook Hill.
