Over there in the "About" section on your Facebook profile, those folks at Big Brother Facebook have probably changed your primary email address to one you might not even know you have -- or even use at all.

Facebook launched a service a few years ago to sync with the launch of Facebook Timeline to replace your normal email address (i.e. Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail) with an @facebook.com email address.

“As we announced back in April, we’ve been updating addresses on Facebook to make them consistent across our site,” a Facebook spokesperson told Mashable.com. “In addition to everyone receiving an address, we’re also rolling out a new setting that gives people the choice to decide which addresses they want to show on their Timelines.”

If you changed your URL on your Facebook profile to a custom one with your name or screen name, that is now the beginning of your new email address -- for example, mine is simply chasecolston@facebook.com since my Facebook URL is Facebook.com/chasecolston.

So, where did your other email address go? Your normal address is still in Facebook's system (of course it is). You can choose to hide your email address or change back to your normal email on your profile by editing your About section.
