Two-year-old Sydney Jane Farris lost her life in a horrific vehicle collision Saturday night, and a fund has been set up to assist with her funeral expenses and to alleviate the costs of medical bills for her father. In the meantime, the driver of the vehicle that killed Sydney is being charged with manslaughter.

Jansen Farris, a graduate of Bullard High School, and his daughter, Sydney, were driving on Highway 69 in Bullard on Saturday night when a man driving on the wrong side of the road struck the Farris's vehicle, killing Sydney and sending her father to the hospital. He is currently listed in critical condition.

The Tyler Morning Telegraph is reporting 41-year-old Jorge Cordera-Varela is being charged with intoxicated manslaughter, a second-degree felony. He is currently in Smith County Jail on a $100,000 bond. The three-vehicle accident resulted in seven other people being injured.

You can donate to the Farris family's fund for Sydney's funeral and her father's medical bills at any East Texas Austin Bank. You can find a list of locations on their website.
